| Christie and Oskar My sweet Oskar Knoblauch is a local Holocaust survivor met well over a decade ago and he means everything to me and is like another Grandpa.. Christie is a composer out of Canada and developed a piece of music entitled "Lost Nursery Rhymes" and it has never been performed.. we hit it off immediately and I told her we just had to make this happen and we did... these pictures don't even capture what the night was... many many tears and very emotional all for our Oskar! Our IMS choir led by my friend Sam had the piece come alive .. and we all explained in our speeches what Oskar means to us... I had several of my previous 8th grade students who are now in college came back to speak on the impact Oskar has had on their lives when they spent time with him in my class at Greenway MS.. it was a night to remember all for our walking angel as I have said before to know Oskar Knoblauch is to love Oskar Knoblauch!!!! |
