This was my last picture pregnant because at 9:30pm on 4/2/13 I went to bed and started getting pains that did not feel like the Braxton Hicks contractions and they sure were not!! I started clocking them and the pains started getting worse and about 15 minutes apart. I called Sal to come home and my parents to come over as I knew I was starting labor. Sal got home about 10:20pm and my water broke in our couch (lucky it is leather haha) I was in a lot of pain at that point and we headed to Banner Tbrd. The contractions started to be about 3-4 minutes apart and Sal was scared we would not make it to the hospital.. lucky we did, when we got there I went right to maternity triage and could hardly walk.. they did not even do the normal check in protocol because there was no time, they checked my cervix and I was dilated to 6 cm!!! No wonder I was in so much pain.. they rushed me by wheelchair to labor and delivery and I was now dilated to almost 9. I got my epidural thank GOD... and I felt like I wanted to push so they checked me and I was dilated a little over 10 cm and the Dr came in (it was not my Dr Hu, but this Dr was awesome too) I pushed 3 times and out came baby John Carmine at 12:50 am..weighing 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 inches long. I was in awe how fast everything went, absolute awe... under 2 hours!!! I will post pictures when I load them in... things are very busy around here lately haha!! Gia kisses her baby brother all the time and John Carmine is just beautiful... our little family is complete. I never have felt so contented.. I look at both of my children and want to cry because I feel so so blessed, they are gifts from God.. We are having such a good time and enjoying it all. Sal thinks John looks like me YAY!!
