OB appt 31 WEEKS!!

Had a great Dr appt. today. I am going every 2 weeks now. Gia's heartbeat is strong at 152 bpm, my Dr. said and she weighs about 3.5 pounds. All my tests came back great and my Dr. said I am ALL BABY!!! LOL!!! I told him about the pain in my hips again and it is because I am small and narrow and it will get worse, which I already knew. LOL! Everything that is happening he said is completely normal, the pressure in my lower abdomen, shortness of breath sometimes, and waking up every 1.5 hours to tinkle! Onto week 31!!

Gia's 5 senses are in working order and her irises now react to light. She is also taking up more and more room in Mommy's tummy which in turn, creates the pressure and slight shortness of breath. Gia is still the size of a squash! LOL!

Today was the best SURPRISE EVER!!!!!!

Today I was so surprised because Tami and my mom threw me the best baby shower ever!!!! I had no idea of it at all. I was just told to get to Arcadia Farms in Scottsdale at 12:15pm, so I figured we were all having lunch. Tami was in town for her anniversary with her husband and my cousin came to visit because it is my Spring Break.. little did I know!! OMG!! It was the BEST EVER!! Gia and I are so so blessed to have such wonderful and loving people in our lives. From the decor, the food, the games, favors, and the presents, I have no words. I LOVE YOU TAMI and MOM. Thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart for one of my best and most special days ever. XOXOXOXOOXOXOOXXOOXOXOXOOXOOXXOOXO

Presents for Gia!

Aunt C got Gia the cutest onesie in my favorite color yellow. It says I love my Mom and Dad and it is sized at 12 months! PERFECT!! Love you Aunt C and thank you so much!! Gia will look adorable in it!!

The booties are handmade. They are knitted and one of my sweet students gave them to me. Her sister made them special for Gia! They are so delicate and sweet looking, I can't wait to see Gia in them.

30 WEEK BELLY SHOTS!!!

30 WEEKS.. HERE WE COME!!!

Well, we all went to the Luke Air Force Base show this weekend and Gia sure did move and shake hearing all those loud jets! Her little eyes, or as I am hearing from everyone her BIG eyes are blue now and fully formed. Gia can react to light and of course all sorts of sounds now. She is floating around in about 1 1/2 pints of amniotic fluid. Gia is, give or take about 16 inches long and weighs between 2 1/2 -3 pounds right now packing on about 1/2 pound every week from now on. Her brain growth is soaring and her head is continuing to grow. Little one can regulate her own body temperature and start shedding lanugo, the downy body hair that's been keeping her warm up until now. Our little love also developed a strong grip to grasp a finger. Gia's bone marrow has taken over her red blood cells which is the first step for Gia to thrive on her own. I feel Gia sit very high at times and between 3-3:30 pm she moves more to my right everyday. I love to see my stomach go up and down... like what I call rolling thunder. I feel more and more pressure in my lower stomach area and have to tinkle ALL the time. I am up at night every hour and a half. I have begun to waddle so I am told as well!!! LOL!!

I was supposed to have my bi-weekly OB appt. today to check on Gia, but when I got to the office and waited to see my Dr. his medical assistant came out and said he is was going home sick. So, I had to reschedule for next Monday for my check.

29 WEEK BELLY SHOTS!

OMG! Next week is 30 weeks already!! I have an OB appt. Monday, just a quick check to make sure our little mover and shaker Gia is doing well and mommy too. My appts. are every 2 weeks now. I received my hospital admitting form so I am all set. Now onto packing the hospital bag! My mom was laughing at me because I was stressing on what to pack and had downloaded lists LOL! All in due time... sometimes I get a little crazed...I figure when I have the time and still feel ok to do stuff I want to do it you know? That is the Virgo in me, always be prepared LOL!!

NURSERY UPDATE: All shipments have arrived! It is time to get to work and put it all together... during Spring Break! Pictures for sure after it is all completed!!

Presents for Gia!!

My friend Liz got Gia this adorable jacket and hat which is sized for 6-9 months... perfect!! She also got Gia the most adorable book because she knew that Gia's nursery is a fairy garden theme and another book and accompanying CD of nursery rhymes. Liz, I can't thank you enough it is perfect you are the best and so so thoughtful! Can't wait for you to meet Gia this summer!! xo

29 weeks.. Gia the squash!

Gia is kicking like crazy and that is because she is getting larger and taking up womb space now LOL!! My uterus keeps expanding which is why I go to the bathroom so much more, literally every 20 minutes or so. Gia is close to 3 pounds now about 17 inches long from what I have been reading for week 29. Her wrinkled skin is starting to smooth over now due to the white fat which is for energy, hence all the movements. Gia is very responsive now to light, my movements, sound, and some things I eat.. all which will make her boogie around in my tummy! I was also told to pay attention to the movements and kicks twice a day to make sure all is well with Gia. Gia also has eyelashes now and she is really starting to plump up. My tummy is getting larger and I really can't bend. I have resorted to wearing sneakers more than I am used to due to the fact that I live in platforms! LOL! YAY!!! About 11 weeks to go!! I can't believe it!

This is our last belly shot together. Melissa is due in less than 4 weeks and she looks ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! I am so excited to meet Presley and even more excited for our little one's to meet!!! 28 WEEK BELLY SHOTS!!

I swear the past 2 days I have felt like Godzilla walking!! I wore sneakers all week and we all know how I feel about being out of my platform heels, but it is what is best and it is comfortable. Now, the reality of how short I really am is out LOL!! Now, Sandra I am truly your little elf carrying baby elfette!! LOL!

New Diaper Bag!

After looking through so many diaper bags.. this is the one! I love the bright colors and design. The material rocks because it is easy to wipe down and has a thick and sturdy strap. The inside is hot pink and very roomy. It comes with a changing pad, bottle holder and wiper holder. My friend Melissa and I always talked about how our diaper bags most likely will take the place of our handbags, so we always said our diaper bags had to be tres chic!

Today's appt. and welcome to the 3rd trimester!

Had a great OB appt. today! I am officially in my 3rd trimester. All is good with the weight I have gained and my blood pressure. We got to see our baby Gia today!! Her heartbeat is great, and look at those lips and those eyes!!! We are so in love already!!! I now move onto my OB checks every 2 weeks. I had to take my glucose test today and was told if I "do not" get a call I passed, so I am crossing my fingers. That sugary drink was not that bad, tasted like flat orange Fanta soda and I forgot to chill it, but it went down fine.

Gia is going to start to really plump up now and Gia's brain begins to form its characteristic grooves and indentations. This allows Gia's brain surface to expand while it develops within her tiny skull. Gia's hair is also growing! She is also winking and dreaming! Beautiful!

As for me, I am feeling fine , get some hip pain and a little back pain but that is to be expected. I feel Gia kick all the time! Riding the wave into my 3rd trimester and it is great!

GIA AT 28 WEEKS!!!

GIGANTIC GRAPEFRUIT!

I went down to my brother's today and look what my sweet nephew Mateo picked for Aunt Patti and Gia! THE BIGGEST GIGANTIC grapefruit I have ever seen in my life. They are literally as big as Mateo's head LOL! Little Mateo knew how much his Aunt Patti was craving grapefruit!!! I love you my sweet little chicken Mateo!! xoxoxoox

27 week BELLY SHOTS and nursery update!

Woohoo look at my belly!! LOVE IT!! Next week, official kick off to 3rd trimester! Feeling great and Gia is now my little dancer since she is always moving!

Nursery Update! Everything has been bought, now I wait for everything to arrive. I am super excited to see it all put together!! For sure will post pictures when the room is complete. It is a real load off my mind to have everything bought because I would like the room all set up by the beginning of April.It is going to be a perfect room for our Gia!
