Easter 2020!

This Easter I feel was a very special one. I was working with Gia on her religion work and really learned again what this time of year is truly about. The Resurrection. I watched "Son of God" and "The Passion of the Christ" with many many tears and I have never felt so connected. Gia, John, and I were watching virtual masses from our church weekly... today we watched also and to have the visual helped me so much with the scripture stories that were read while watching the mass. This Easter is also special because it is 12 years Sal and I have been married and for the 12th to fall on Easter Sunday to me is magical. The kids and I did not color eggs this year because of the situation of COVID-19. So, we made cookies and dipped them in different color icings... I hid 62 eggs with candy and the Easter bunny came and ate carrots, left candy, and toys... breakfast was bunny pancakes and dinner was garlic butter shrimp with bowties or cous cous... I do not think I will ever forget this Easter. Wishing everyone a most Blessed Easter!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Thank you.

A friend sent this to me and it is so so beautiful and so true. Thank you to all the healthcare workers that are dealing with this horrible situation... when I saw the saying "Real heroes wear scrubs," it could not be more true. This is certainly not a time to be selfish,  or only think about oneself, and judge. God teaches us the opposite and  to cease a serpent tongue.  Thank you to all our friends and family who have given us support with their love, prayers, and protection for Sal. Your words and actions mean everything to us. We will all get past this and come out stronger than ever before. Godspeed, grace, and love.

Happy Happy 7th Birthday our little John John!

Happy 7th Birthday to our sweet little boy!

Gia made a shrimp in the heart because it is John's favorite food!

YUMMM John's favorite.. Sal made garlic bread and shrimp alfredo from scratch!

We had a great time celebrating John's birthday under the current circumstances of COVID-19... all John wanted was chocolate cake, shrimp alfredo, and WW2 warbirds LOL!! Gia made some great little posters to hang and we decorated the house with red streamers.. we finished the night watching John's choice in movies MIDWAY! Happy 7 to our beautiful little soul inside and out... you will always and forever be our baby John! You are loved more than you will ever know!
