First middle school in the state to earn the NP4H banner.. 3rd year in a row

Whew!! What a week!! My student won 2nd place out of 500 essays in her division and Wednesday night was the reception for the Echoes and Reflection essay contest. It was a great night and 5 of my NP4H students attended and read their own poems because  the No Place For Hate program I run  earned the NP4H banner for a 3rd year in a row and we also earned the very first title of the Bill Straus School of Distinction!!! Bill Straus was the Director of the ADL for the past 13 years and the ADL decided to create an award in his honor every year for the #1 NP4H school! It was truly a special night!!

On Friday, at our school we had the NP4H banner raising assembly and had fun activities for the students to do in the afternoon... DJ Alex and the Scorpion basketball players!! It was also cool that DJ Alex's friend brought his car which was in the Fast and Furious 7... I have never been close to one of these cars it was totally awesome!! It was a tiring week but one that I will always cherish!
