Thanksgiving 2017 !

What a great couple days getting all ready for Turkey Day... all of us were busy in the kitchen helping out to make such a yummy meal...turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams, home made gravy, rolls, home made cranberry sauce, stuffed mushrooms, stuffing with sausage... pumpkin pie, Beth's amazing gingerbread cookies, and Gia's vanilla pudding coconut pie!  We started our day with our tradition of watching the Macy's Day Parade...then we prayed our meal prayer and all of us said what we are thankful for which was the best and then we ate and ate more.. after dessert it was putting on our PJ's and getting ready for another tradition we all got under the blankets and watched the Wizard of Oz together about 8:30pm and made popcorn... the kids did not get to bed until 10:45pm or so LOL.. it is important for Sal and I to create these special memories and traditions with our kids... memories none of us will forget. I am beyond thankful and blessed for so so many things and it would take hours and many posts to write it all so to abbreviate a bit I am especially thankful for Sal, Gia and John and that we are healthy and happy as that is most important. To our wonderful, loving, selfless, and supportive friends that are always there for us.. we love you, thank you, and are blessed to have you in our lives. Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving.

Today, it is time to put up all the Christmas decorations while listening to all the holiday favorites... I already started taping the sappy Hallmark channel movies, all the traditional holiday kid shows from when Sal and I grew up ,and the tradition of watching the Rockefeller Tree Lighting this week on TV of course.. wish we could all orb there.. one day Gia and John will get to see it up close just like Sal and I have... let the 2017 Christmas season commence!
